Vanilla D3 was a bust, but once RoS came out it totally changed the dynamics of the game and made Diablo fun again. I think that's why it's advertised as "includes Diablo 3" on the package instead of saying "includes Reaper of Souls expansion". HOWEVER, Diablo 3 has been on the decline (i.e. no new patches, stagnant metas) this does push a lot of fans over the edge and go ahead and join the POE circlejerk community, which is by all means understandable. With all that being said, D3 is a fun experience and worth every penny.

I would recommend saving another couple of weeks so you can afford both, or buy the Battle Chest to get it soon. Rise of the Necromancer comes out on the 27th with a new character too!
